Mindfulness and the Power of Opening Pathways to Perspectives

Course Summary:
One way of understanding mindfulness is the ability to zoom out and witness any given moment through the lens of multiple perspectives. So in this definition you can think of mindfulness as being a “mind” in its “fullness” or a mind of expanded awareness and consciousness, because you don’t just witness the world through your own eyes, but through the eyes of many. Being able to perceive from another point of view gives you immeasurable power through understanding, empathy, and compassion. The ability to toggle between perspectives instead of being stuck in a narrow point of view is something that can be cultivated through practice. The more perspectives you have the ability to hold, the more calm you become, because your nervous system isn’t shocked by something happening that wasn’t already considered within your own biology. In this course you will learn various strategies for opening the mind and being able to see the world from another point of view. You will have the chance to practice techniques and work through a specific area of your life that may feel stuck and might benefit from a new way of seeing the situation.
